Washington is full of people with answers. People with titles. People who spend entire days being needed by somebody. I think that’s exhausting. So when I’m with someone, I don’t really care what they do for a living. I care whether they’re kind to waiters. Whether they have stories worth telling. Whether they can laugh at themselves.
